Policies

  • You must be 17 years of age to be waxed without present parental consent.

  • Please do not bring children.

  • We here at Sassafras are excited you have booked your wax with us. That being said, due to the size of our salons, please do not bring additional guests (that are not receiving services) while you are here.

  • You should not wax you if:

    • You are using any Retinol or products on the area being waxed.
      (i.e. Obaji products, Retin A, Renova etc.) Ask if unsure.

    • You have Lupus or AIDS.

    • If you are receiving cancer treatments such as chemotherapy or radiation.

    • You are using any form of Accutane or Differin.

    • You have any kind of sunburn.

  • Ladies…. If you are on your period, please be respectful of our estheticians and wear an appropriate, clean feminine product.

  • Group Appointments (More than 2 individuals) Sassafras requires the contact name, phone number, and email of each individual that is booking an appointment and a credit card deposit.

  • Appointments require a valid credit card deposit of 50% of the appointment value to secure the appointment.

  • Payments accepted- Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Cash.

  • All clients must provide and have a valid credit card on file to book an appointment.

  • In the event you feel that hair has been missed, we require a call within 24 hours and will provide a free touch-up within 3 days of the original appointment.

  • Late Policy:

    • Being late on occasion is, unfortunately, part of life. However, being an appointment-based industry if you are late, you risk your appointment being canceled. Our late policy is as follows:

      • If your appointment is a 15-minute duration and you are more than 5 minutes late, your appointment is at risk of being canceled. If your appointment is a 30-minute duration or longer and you are more than 10 minutes late, your appointment is at risk of being canceled.

      • It is ultimately the esthetician’s decision on whether or not we will be able to proceed with your appointment.

      • Failure to call and let us know you are running late, and/or multiple late arrivals will result in canceled appointments, cancellation fees and ultimately require prepayment for all future appointments.

  • Cancellation Policy:

    • Life happens, and we understand sometimes you can't make your appointment. However, we are a service industry that relies on set appointments for our services. With that being said, we have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Please note, if you have booked your appointment online, you can go and cancel your appointment if there is more than 24 hours before your appointment time.


      Our exact policy is as follows:

      • It is the client's responsibility to communicate with us. Failure to call to reschedule and/or cancel your appointment without 24-hour notice will result in being required prepayment to schedule future appointments and will forfeit the deposit of the rescheduled/canceled appointment.

      • There will not be a refund given for a prepaid/charged appointment if the client does not show up for the scheduled appointment, and/or does not give us 24-hour notice of cancellation.

      • Clients that are a “No Call, No Show” will not be allowed to schedule another appointment until the missed appointment is paid for in full. Any future appointments will require prepayment for scheduling. No refunds will be given for No Call No Show prepaid appointments and/or missed online appointments.

      • For appointments with multiple services that are not completed due to tardiness or partial services are canceled (at the appointment time), the client will forfeit the deposit of the canceled service(s).

      • If your appointment is a 15-minute duration and you are more than 5 minutes late, your appointment is at risk of being canceled and charged for the appointment.  If your appointment is a 30-minute duration or longer and you are more than 10 minutes late, your appointment is at risk of being canceled.  Ultimately, it is the estheticians' decision on whether or not there is enough time to provide the services.
